"Ever get your backside caned in the staff room? We'd get called in sometimes, when a couple of teachers each had a problem with you they might tell you to see them jointly, mid morning probably, when it was unused. Then one would go first, probably give your shorts a good dusting of six whistling strokes, then the other would take the cane on from him to punish you with another half dozen. Had to hope no one else had a problem and turned up....."
